About us
The people behind Rogue Valley Christmas Lights
A locally owned, service-area business in Grants Pass, Oregon. We install custom-cut commercial C9 lights, use removable clips, and return in January to take everything down.
Why we started
Rogue Valley Christmas Lights opened for the 2026 season as a 50/50 partnership between Yahir Gonzalez and Andrew Prulhiere. We are new. We are not a franchise, and we are not a rental company.
The plan was to keep the service narrow: flat prices, commercial C9 LEDs cut to the roofline, removable clips, and a January takedown. After final payment, the lights, timer, and storage box are yours. There is no rental fee and no obligation to book again.
We work where we live. Grants Pass, Merlin, Rogue River, Three Pines, Colonial Valley, and the nearby Josephine County routes are our normal service area. We are not trying to be a national brand with a call center. When you text, you reach the people who quote and schedule the work.
Who you will work with
Two co-owners, one clear split of the work.
Co-owner. Yahir handles quotes, scheduling, customer communication, marketing, and business records. He also assists with installation and removal.
Co-owner. Andrew leads installation and removal labor, job-site safety, and field quality. He has final authority to stop or decline any job for safety.
Both co-owners share the business 50/50. Yahir quotes the price. Andrew can stop a job for safety. Work outside the agreed scope needs a written quote and your written approval before it starts.
A roof-safe process, start to finish
The roof decides the plan. The lights come second.
We look at height, pitch, ladder access, shingle condition, and gutters before we book. Sections we cannot reach safely stay dark, and we tell you why before you pay.
We use removable clips on the roofline, gutter, and fascia where the surface is safe to clip. No nails, screws, staples, or adhesive. The lights plug into an existing exterior GFCI outlet.
We cut the lights to your roofline, set a dusk-to-dawn timer, and test every run. In January we remove the clips and pack the lights, timer, and storage box for you.
Our safety floor: no solo roof work above one story, no work in active rain, lightning, or wind over 25 mph, and no work above a safe reach. If your roof is outside that limit, we will say so before anything is booked.
What we do not do
We stay in the seasonal lighting lane. This list is not a limitation we hide after the sale. It is the scope we quote.
We do a visual access check before install. That is not a roofing inspection, and it does not certify the condition of your roof.
- Roof repair or roof replacement
- Gutter repair, gutter installation, or gutter guards
- Electrical repair, new circuits, or wiring work
- Nails, screws, staples, or adhesive on your roof
- Chemical moss treatment or pesticide application. We offer moss removal and washing only.
- Rental lights. Every all-inclusive package is buy-and-keep.
- Work above our safety limit or on sections we cannot reach safely
Need a roofer, electrician, or gutter contractor? We will tell you when the work is outside our lane. For the full scope, read the service terms.

New, and straight about it
We opened for the 2026 season. We would rather say that than invent years in business, awards, or credentials we have not earned. What you can expect is a clear price, a roof check before we book, a written scope, and a local crew that answers the phone.
No stock photos and no borrowed installs on this page. The logo is ours. When we publish install photos, they will be from our own jobs and used with permission.
